Join us for a trip down Frenchman St. Located at the far edge of the French uarter is a street that will have you walking back in time to see great local live music. You'll still see real Jazz on Frenchman St. You'll see traditional Jazz at DBA and Snug Harbor, old time Jazz at the Spotted Cat, Blues at the Apple Barrel, Funk at 3090, Reggae at Cafe Negril and lots of other great music up and down the street.
Most places are free with no cover, but even the well known local bands are usually only $5 to $10 a person. Support local music and pay a cover charge and listen like a local. There is also a great art market on the street. This place has our favorite New Orleans treasures.
Head down anytime after 6 pm and enjoy the sweet sounds of Frenchman St. for the rest of the night. A great way to kick off NIN.
We suggest taking an uber, Lyft or a cab. You can walk there, but it's a hike. Let someone else drive you and save your feet for dancing and the rest of the week.
